PROJECT
SSSSS (Sand Sea Sun Sex Sangría) takes as its subject the audiovisual productions filmed on the Costa Brava – involving names like Fructuós Gelabert, Joseph L. Mankiewicz, Orson Welles, Luis Buñuel, José María Forqué or Josep Maria Forn – with a focus on aspects to do with holidaying, the fiesta, and the use and abuse of the terrain. The work aspires to be the methodology of a film and at the same time a depiction of the experience of being a place: being the Costa Brava. It will also explore a new approach strategy, of being a guest and cohabiting with other guests: the sea, the rocks, the local women, the work of the past, the leisure of the present, land policies or the rumors that circulate.
