Momu & No Es

Momu & No Es is formed by Eva Noguera (Barcelona, 1979) and Lucía Moreno (Basel, 1982), who trained at the DAI-Dutch Art Institute/ ArtEZ, Arnhem (Netherlands); the University of Barcelona (Fine Arts); and BarcelonaTech (Architectural Technology).

Their work has been shown at solo and group events in Spain, Italy, Slovenia, the Netherlands, United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Cuba and Japan. They have received various grants and subsidies including the O&O Research Grant of the Centrum Beeldende Kunst Rotterdam (Netherlands).

Global Windshield, The Musical replicates the hypnotic state induced by driving a vehicle for a long time in a highly predictable environment. The soundtrack, conceived as a musical, and the concatenation of images, videos and 3D animation, organized into three episodes, trace an alternative route through diverse mental places that transport the audience to a mirage in what is supposedly the center of the universe.

The video explores the impact of a virtual, hyperreal world and invites us to question our relationship with technocratic, digitalized culture in the hybrid space we now inhabit, where our tangible lives stand somewhere that is steadily dematerializing. Overcoding, serial linkage, looping and general madness turn Global Windshield, The Musical into a digital abstraction wedding poetry and music. A love story that speaks of fears and also the hopes lying at the end of the highway.
