Itziar BarrioItziar Barrio (Bilbao, 1976) lives and works in New York. Her work has been shown internationally at the MACRO Museum (Rome), Participant Inc. (New York), MACBA (Barcelona), the Museum of Contemporary Art, Belgrade (Serbia), Museo del Banco de la República (Bogotá), Anthology Films Archives (New York), Salzburger Kunstverein (Austria), and the Havana Biennial (Cuba). She has received awards and grants from institutions including the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, Brooklyn Arts Council, the Spanish Ministry of Culture, and the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), and has completed residencies with the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) and the Spanish Academy in Rome. An adjunct professor at the School of Visual Arts in New York, she has lectured at centers such as New York University, Hunter College and The New School. Her monographic exhibition By All Means was curated by Johanna Burton at the Azkuna Zentroa in Bilbao (2018).
